Flipping through a siddur page by page
What’s the point, where’s the gain?
To me it seems such a bore, what for?
Going through… this senseless chore

Learning torah is just not for me
Going to mikvah, is not my thing
Rather relax, enjoy spending time with my peers
Why bother, when I-don’t really care

But then I realized there’s so much more to life
It’s who I am and what I have inside
To win-the raging battle of my inner soul
That’s the purpose, the focus and the goal

Oy Rebbe I know for this to truly be
A better chosid to become of me
To satisfy the neshomo’s yearning’s, desire
I must be connected to-you so much higher.
