Color War is different in YSP than in most other summer programs. Here, the plays, skits, grand sing, and all the other fun activities are not done by the Staff but rather by the Talmidim themselves. The songs are no different. Each year some of the talented Talmidim on each team compose a song to match the theme allotted to their team. Below are the songs we were able to collect from Color War throughout the years here at YSP.

Team Hakhel - 5748
On a college campus,
in United States,
a Jew is living,
in doubt of his faith,
what is my goal in life,
a solution he could not find.
A Shliach appears on the campus site,
to spread the Rebbe's message,
was his plight,
a Hakhel he was to form,
to unite his people as one.
Asher, Asher, your fulfillment,
in life being a Jew,
to serve your creator,
through faith and prayer,
the Shliach pleads with him.
Rabbi what these gatherings can do,
to reach out to people,
so distant from you,
please thank your Rebbe on his campaign,
which regained me life and sustain.
Team Simcha - 5748

Over a mountain on a hill,

but Simcha is not missing from his daily life,
cause for happieness he does strive.
But all of a sudden it happened one day,

his life comes to an end with his spirit high,

I must be connected to-you so much higher.
